YORKTOWN - Thomas Joseph Kubesh, 49, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 11, 2010, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Thomas was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. He was a 1979
graduate of Tabb High School, where he excelled in Athletics, and attended
James Madison University. He was a practical joker who lived life to the fullest. He was a very kind and generous person, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Kubesh; and brother, Paul Kubesh.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Kubesh of Yorktown; brothers, John Kubesh, of York County, Peter Kubesh of Hampton; sister, Cindy Bauer and her husband, Jim of Gloucester; and nephew, Peter Kubesh II.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha with the Rev. Lawrence J. Mullaney Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to service time at the church.
